Round Rarotonga Road Race celebrates its 38th Anniversary
with its annual weeklong event from the 17- 23 September 2015 held
on the beautiful tropical island of Rarotonga. The event caters for
everyone including families, social, recreational and competitive
runners and is a fantastic opportunity to combine a holiday with a
once in a lifetime sporting achievement.
This Race aims to raise funds to help develop our Junior
Athletics in the Cook Islands to travel to New Zealand to compete
and experience International competitions, whilst also providing
participants with an opportunity to enjoy the white sandy beaches,
turquoise lagoons and lush tropical hills that make up the unique
and beautiful environment of the Cook Islands.

The first event of the week starts with a 5km Fun
Run 17 September followed by the Main Race set for the 19 September
with the 31km run or walk around the island of Rarotonga. However
if you are not up for that, there is a 10km option on the day. The
Prize Giving Ceremony is a day after the Main Race that will be
held on the 20 September, a perfect opportunity to celebrate and
catch up with other participants over dinner. Hash House Harriers
Birthday Run set for 21 September followed by the Round Rock
(Island) Team Relay and the totally mad but fun Nutters Cross
Island Run.
The 38th Round Rarotonga Road Race is definitely a fun and
memorable event to combine with your holiday to the beautiful
island paradise of the Cook Islands
